Danish Architects Plan to Turn The Hollywood Sign Into a Hotel

Danish architectural firm Bayarch proposed this interesting concept that turns the well known Hollywood Sign into a hotel – preserving the landmark while at the same time making use of its unique location by including spas, movie theaters and clubs.

Schmidt Hammer Lassen’s Winning Design ‘Counterpoint’ for Malmö, Sweden

schmidt hammer lassen architects has won the competition to design a 54,000m2 concert, congress and hotel complex in Malmö, Sweden. The competition, where firms like Snøhetta, Baumschlager Eberle and Daniel Libeskind participated, also included the development of additionally 35,000m2 for housing and commercial use. ’9h’ Capsule Hotel in Kyoto

9h‘ (nainawasu) is a new capsule hotel that offers luxury in a minimum living space. The ’9h’ capsule hotel and all amenities were designed by Fumie Shibata of Design Studio S, which she founded in 1994.
