‘Frog Queen’ by SPLITTERWERK

‘Frog Queen’, or the Prisma Engineering Headquarters is located in Graz, Styria, Austria.

Its facade was designed by SPLITTERWERK and looks like one giant pixelized box. Even the facade itself is practically a square. Overall, the exterior features 10 shades of gray, and the square windows seem to blend into the rest of the pattern.

Extension of the ‘Ars Electronica Center’ by Treusch Architects

In January 2009, Vienna-based practice Treusch Architecture unveiled the new extension of the ‘Ars Electronica’ (AEC) building in Linz, Austria. The sculptural glass-steel construction has been nominated for this year’s WAF Award (World Architecture Festival), shortlisted under the ‘Culture’ category.

Situated between the River Danube and the historic buildings on the one hand and the new ‘Ars Electronica Center’ on the other, the open deck of Treusch’s extension – the ‘heart of the Center’ – provides public space and seating for open-air theater and presentations and seems to be perfectly integrated into the city’s events.
